In this workshop we will examine the craft and art of preaching. Participants will receive practical, relevant , and inspiring instruction on how to improve their pulpit proclamation. Using video clips and excerpts from some of our nation’s finest preachers, attendees will learn what to do and how to do it in a better way.
Dr. Richard Allen Farmer is known and admired around the world as a vibrant communicator, eloquent theologian and impassioned man of God. An experienced pastor and college chaplain, Dr. Farmer currently serves as Senior Pastor of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, GA. Previously he has served as Senior Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and as Dean of the Chapel at both Gordon College (Wenham, MA and Taylor University (Upland, IN). He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Gordon College and an honorary Doctor of Sacred Theology degree by Houghton College (Houghton, NY). He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Ministry degree (D.Min) at Candler School of Theology at Emory University (Atlanta, GA).
This seminar will benefit preachers and pastors of all ages who wish to enhance their study, writing and presentation skills. Men and women of all ages and all Christian denominations are encouraged to attend.
